Public Information Officer (PIO) Training and Resources
The Healthcare Coalition of Maine has compiled the following information for coalition member organizations and their designated Public Information Officers who wish to pursue additional training in this field to further their capacity to respond and support health and medical efforts in Maine during an emergency.
Crisis and Emergency Risk Communication (CERC)
“Crisis and Emergency Risk Communication (CERC) training can help responders and public health professionals prepare to communicate in an emergency. The CERC program offers training in online, webinar, and in-person formats. It is our hope that participants will find at least one of these options to be accessible and convenient.”
